TOWN OF DEXTER PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Dexter Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers to consider the following:

1. Ordinance C2010-9 Dedication
BE IT ORDAINED, that the Dexter Town Council hereby amends Chapter 11, Streets and Roads; Article II. Signs to add the following:

Sec. 11-62 Dedications
A sign reading "Hod's Corner in memory of Horace "Hod" McKenney" will be placed near the intersection of Garland Road and Fern Road.

2. Ordinance C2010-10 Amendment to Library By-Laws

All persons may appear to comment on the above matters dated at Dexter, Maine this 31st' day of July 2010.

TOWN OF DEXTER NOTICE The Town of Dexter has the following openings:

1 - HAD #4 Hospital Board Trustee
1 - Planning Board Member

All interested applicants must fill out an application available in the Town Office or on the Town's website. All applications must be returned to Town of Dexter, 23 Main Street, Dexter, ME 04930 by Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 4:00 P.M.

DOWNTOWN WINDOW DISPLAYS As part of our effort to promote local economic development we are offering Dexter small business operators, craft-persons, and artists the opportunity to display their products or services in the Town Council windows.

Display periods will generally be one month for each enterprise, and there is no cost for this service.

We need your time, energy and thoughts!!! The Dexter Town Council would like and needs your input! Dexter citizens need to become involved and have a say in what happens in Dexter and NOW is your chance!

Attend Town Council meetings, held every 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm and let your elected Town Councilors know your thoughts.

Individuals interested in being considered for a committee appointment please submit an Application to the Dexter Town Clerk.
