TOWN OF DEXTER PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Dexter Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers to consider the following:

1. Ordinance C2012-2 Transfer of Funds
BE IT ORDAINED, that the Dexter Town Council authorizes the transfer of $2,000 in revenue account #10401-40430 (sale of municipal assets) to expense account #10401-50710 (new equipment) for the purchase and installation of mobile electronic equipment.

2. Ordinance C2012-3 National Accreditation
BE IT ORDAINED, that the Dexter Town Council hereby authorizes the Town Manager to contract with Maine Chiefs of Police Association to conduct an operational review. The cost of the review, in the amount of $6,000, will be transferred from the unreserved funds account G10-37300-00.

3. CDBG Application for Fire Department Equipment
The Town of Dexter will hold a Public Hearing on February 16th, at 7PM at the Town Council Chambers to discuss an application being submitted to the State of Maine CDBG program for the Public Facilities Grant program. The purpose of the grant application is to fund the purchase of equipment for the fire department. Public comments will be solicited at this Hearing and will be submitted as part of the application. All persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application are invited to attend this Public Hearing. Comments may be submitted in writing to: Linda-Jean Briggs Town of Dexter 23 Main Street Dexter, Maine 04930 at any time prior to the Public Hearing. TDD/TTY users may call 711. If you are physically unable to access any of the Town's programs or services, please call Shelley Watson at 924-7351 so that accommodations can be made.

TOWN OF DEXTER
CEMETERY SEXTON
The Town of Dexter is currently accepting applications to fill the Cemetery Sexton position.  The successful applicant will be a working supervisor of Category E – temporary employees. This hourly position will work an irregular schedule April through December under the direct supervision of the Town Manager.  The Sexton shall oversee the day-to-day operation of cemeteries to include the sale of lots and the coordination of burials.  Other duties include the management of the Cemetery budget and maintenance of Cemetery records and maps.  

Applications should be delivered by Monday, January 23rd at 4:30 PM to:  Town Manager, 23 Main Street, Dexter, ME  04930.
