| The Wayside Theatre Youth Theatre, under the direction of Mary and Maryanna Ray, will be holding an open audition for the play "Charlotte's Web" for a tentative production date of mid-April. Characters are: Fern Arable, the young girl; John Arable, her father; Avery Arable, her brother; Homer Zuckerman, her uncle; Lury, a hired hand; and Wilbur, a pig; Templeton, a rat; Charlotte, a spider; and two extras; a goose and a sheep. | Dexter Area Towns in Transition (DATT) is holding the final night of our free film series in the basement of the
Abbott Memorial Library at 6:30 PM on Thursday February 9th. Two short films will be shown and then discussed. "The Story of Stuff" examines how we are influenced as consumers to want things that we don't really need, and how that influence affects all aspects of our lives. "Wake Up/ Freak Out/ and Get a Grip" is a brief look at the "tipping points" of climate change and oil supply, and what we can do once we recognize the situation. Large topics, short movies, interesting discussion afterwards, fueled by local refreshments! Please come and bring any friends you might like. DATT is a group of local residents working together to make a conscious plan to use less energy, and we invite your support |

| On Saturday, February 13th, Dexter Regional High School will host the Class C State Wrestling tournament. The time for team check in will begin at 7:00 AM, with weigh-in starting at 8:00 AM. Coaches meetings will be held at the conclusion of the weigh-ins with opening ceremonies beginning at 8:45 AM. Wrestling will begin at 9:30 AM. Admission will be charged at the door.
