Notice is hereby given that the Dexter Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers to consider the following:
1. Ordinance C2008-10 Land Use Definitions
Change to Automobile Graveyard/Junkyard definition. (Full text available in the town office)
All persons may appear to comment on the above matter dated at Dexter, Maine this 27th day of December 2008.

DEXTER TOWN COUNCIL PROCEDURE The Dexter Town Council meets the 2nd Thursday every month at the Town Council Chambers on Main Street in Dexter. (right next to the Town Office)

CHAIRMAN - The Chairman shall conduct the meeting, preserve order and declare all votes.

AGENDA - The Town Council acts by Ordinance, Order or Resolve, filed seven secular days before the meeting and contained on the agenda along with the name of the Councilor introducing the legislation.

ACTION - Orders are passed; Resolves are adopted. Ordinance amendments must be presented to a first reading; Public Hearing and passed.

SUSPENSION OF RULES - By majority vote of the Council, the rules may be suspended to allow the introduction of any matter not on the agenda, or to permit a variance from the rules of order

This meeting is being recorded to assist the secretary in production of the minutes. Copies of the minutes will be available at the Abbott Memorial Library.
