DEXTER - The Dexter Historical Society is hosting an exhibit by artist Mark Robichaud at the Abbott Museum, 12 Church St., Dexter. The exhibit opens Monday, January 10 and will run through January 31 during museum hours, Monday to Saturday, 10 to 4. Free admission. Mark Robichaud works in acrylics on canvas. His colorful work depicts local scenes, old cars, motorcycles, Mt Katahdin. He studied at the Monserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts and at the Skowhegan School of Art & Sculpture in East Madison, Maine. There will be a public reception to meet and talk with Mark on Saturday, January 15 from 2:00 to 4:00. For information call 924-5721. The next meeting of the Dexter Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, January 19 at 7:00PM in the Crawford Conference Room at the Abbott Museum, 12 Church St., Dexter. We will plan our next steps in completing construction of the lower level galleries and the climate controlled vault at the Abbott Museum. All are welcome to attend. For information call 924-5721. |
