 DEXTER - The Quality Deer Management Association First Maine Branch will be hosting an ice fishing derby January 19 & 20 on Lake Wassookeag in Dexter.
The Grand Prize is a 2008 90cc Alpine ATV with many more prizes being donated daily. Trophies for the heaviest fish will be awarded in the following categories: Salmon, Togue, Brook Trout, Bass, Pickerel. There is also a Junior angler award for the most Yellow Perch caught by an angler 12 years & under. Weigh-in will be held at PJ's Bait & Tackle. Start time is 5 am both days and weigh-in ends at 4 pm on the 20th. Anglers must be in line by that time. Entry Fee is $5 or $10 which includes 10 Door prize tickets. Door prize tickets are available 10 for $10. Tickets can be purchased at PJ's Bait & Tackle on North Dexter Road, Dexter, or at Ironbelly Antiques, 704 Main Street, Palmyra.
