Public Comments Requested for Proposed Replacement Housing Projects

DEXTER - Two public hearings are being held in January to discuss the submission of an application to the Maine Community Development Block Grant Program for Innovative Housing Funds. The grant, if awarded, would provide assistance for income eligible residents of Penobscot and Piscataquis County towns to replace mobile or stick built homes in very poor condition.

The Town of Dexter and the Town of Monson will complete the application in conjunction with Penquis CAP, Inc. Public hearings will be held in Dexter at the Town Hall on January 13, 7:00 p.m., and in Monson at the Municipal Building Multipurpose Room on January 19, 6:30 p.m. Residents of Penobscot County who are unable to attend the public hearing may forward comments to Town of Dexter, Attn: David Pearson, P.O. Box 313, Dexter, ME 04930 by 4:30 p.m. January 11.

Residents of Piscataquis County who are unable to attend the public hearing may forward comments to Town of Monson, Attn: Judith Doore, P.O. Box 308, Monson, ME 04464 by 4:00 p.m. January 17.
