DEXTER - The Dexter High School Key Club remains very active this year and just completed a jean and hat day at Dexter High School on Friday, January 15th for the Haitian Earthquake victims. The Key Club raised $580., which will be sent to UNICEF. It was our 14th major fundraiser and to-date the club has raised over $8,500 for charity this year. The club has also taken part in 226 activities this year (our year runs April to April). The Key Club is currently getting ready for its annual March of Dimes Dime Drive, a major fundraiser that will run for two weeks beginning January 22nd. Last year we raised over $2,000. for the Dime Drive. The Key Club currently has 59 members and has been organized at Dexter High School for twelve years. The club is sponsored by the Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis Club and its purpose is to develop leadership in the school and community through community service. |
