Three Heartsaver cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) basic life support courses are scheduled for Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. in Dover-Foxcroft, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. in Dexter, and Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. in Monson. Heartwise will provide free blood pressure checks in the main lobby of Mayo Regional from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13. Free cholesterol tests will be drawn in suite 400 of the hospital's Medical Office Building from 7-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Friday, Feb. 14.

Heartwise will launch a month-long project, in cooperation with Goulette's IGA in Guilford, Graves SuperMarket in Dover-Foxcroft, Save-A-Lot, Bud's Shop 'n Save in Dexter, and the Milo Farmers Union, to promote the importance of proper diet in preventing heart disease. Labels will identify more than 1,000 items of Heart Healthy foods throughout those stores.

A display table on cardiac rehabilitation will be maintained by Heartwise in the main lobby at Mayo Regional throughout the month of February.
