Thursday, February 14, 2008
DEXTER - As part of the Dexter Winter Festival, The North Country Riding Club will once again be offering Horse drawn Sled (Wagon) Rides on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Hamilton Farm in Dexter. Because of the deep snow and icey conditions, the rides will be up and down the Crockett Road in the horse drawn wagon. In the past we have had over 220 people come and enjoyed the rides.

Misty Blue Acres Carriage and Wagon Rides (www.mistyblue-acres.com), is harnessing their team of beautiful Belgium's and offering rides to the public starting at 10 am and going until 2 pm.

Bring your blankets, your family and friends for a scenic ride through the winterland wooded roadway for only $3 for Adults, Youths $2 and anyone under the age of 5 rides FREE!

Hot drinks and goodies will also be offered as part of NCRC fund raising efforts for the 2008 season.

We hope you will come and enjoy a beautiful relaxing sled ride with North Country Riding Club and the Misty Blue Acres.

Directions to Hamilton Farm -- from the Radar Runs and Snow Sculptures on Little Lake Wassookeag Beach, go a 1/8 mile on the Crockett Road (off Route 23) and it will be on the left.

Thanks go out to Mark McKusick, Gary Bennett, Bill Cherniske, Dana Wilbur, Steve Wilbur and many more who are moving mounds of snow and helping make this family event possible during Winter Festival.
