PENQUIS VALLEY - The Southern Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce is looking for participants for the Second Annual Webber Hardware Penquis Valley Belt Sander Race, which will take place at the annual Penquis Valley Region Expo on April 5 & 6 at PCHS in Guilford. Chamber director Dennis Lyford describes the belt sander race as a drag race with power tools. The students of Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford have designed and built a belt sander racetrack for this event. Webber Hardware Store in Dover-Foxcroft will offer prizes for the winners of the Stock and Modified Divisions plus the best Decorated Sander. The chamber is inviting wood products companies, contractors, student groups and others to take part in this event. Lyford believes that belt sander race offer small companies and local contractors an opportunity to take part in the Annual Chamber Expo and have a good time doing its.
