The goal of the conference will be to bring together local tourism providers and other interested parties to begin a dialogue on how to develop and market tourism in Southern Piscataquis County explained Chamber Executive Director Dennis Lyford.

We have an exciting agenda said Lyford beginning with the Maine Office of Tourism power point presentation by Donna Fichtner of the Bangor CVB on Friday night April 4th. at 7pm.

On Saturday the conference kick off at 10AM with "Community Based Approaches to Cultural Heritage and Natural Based Tourism" by Roger Merchant of the Piscataquis County Office of the U of Maine CO-OP Extension:
This will be followed by presentation of Multi Use Trails by Cathy Mazzuchelli of the Caribou Recreation Dept at 11:10AM, At 12:30Pm Bob Myers from the Maine Snowmobile Association will speak on the Maine Snowmobile Industry followed by Bruce Harzard of the Maine Heritage Network at 1pm.

The Chamber welcome the support of the Piscataquis Fund of the Maine Community Foundation in helping with this important conference said Lyford.
