Creating your personal health record
Monday, March 20, 2006
DOVER-FOXCROFT - The Seniority program at Mayo Regional Hospital will provide a free lunch-n-learn education program on “Creating Your Own Personal Health Record,” Tuesday, April 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Piscataquis conference room at Mayo.

Sheri Conley, manager of Medical Information Services at Mayo and a certified personal health record trainer, will teach people how to keep their own personal health record.

Your PHR allows you to keep all your health-related information in an easily accessible format, and helps people play a more active role in their healthcare. The PHR can reduce duplicative procedures, save healthcare dollars and your provider’s time. The record gives patients a more intimate knowledge of their healthcare information and helps them become more involved in their own preventive care and care management.

A free lunch will be provided by Mayo’s Dietary Department for those attending. Register by contacting Linda Davis at 564-4250 by April 7. You do not have to be a Seniority member to attend.
