DEXTER - The Dexter Town Council would like your input! They recently authorized the formation of an ad hoc committee to be known as Municipal Review Committee and need Dexter citizens to become involved and have a say in what you want and what you think. If you feel you don't have input in what happens in Dexter, NOW is your chance!
- The committee will be tasked to undertake a review of the structure, manning, funding, and programs of all Dexter's municipal departments, with the exception of Fire, Ambulance, and Police.
- The committee will serve in an advisory capacity only, and will conduct the review process during a 12-month period.
- The committee shall be composed of one representative from each municipal department, as well as the Town Manager, a Town Council member, and at least six members selected from the general public.
Following the conclusion of the review, the committee will submit a written report to the Town Council that will include findings and recommendations to be considered for incorporation in future municipal operations. It is anticipated that the Town Council will make appointments to the committee at their April 10th meeting.
Individuals interested in being considered for appointment to this ad hoc committee must submit an Application for Committee Membership to the Dexter Town Clerk no later than the close of business on Wednesday, April 9th, 2003.
