DEXTER - Dexter Regional High School participated in the March of Dimes "Dime Drive" during the month of January. Students collected a total of $512, which was the highest amount collected by any participating school.
The money was collected during lunch periods and through "Happy" and "Sad" change jars from the Key Club Advisor and Mr. Rick Whitney's history classroom. Many students also raised funds from the community; the largest amount was collected by Freshman Samantha Hackett. The high school was recently presented with a plaque in appreciation of their outstanding donation. The plaque was presented to Mr. Rick Whitney and Key Club President Sara Brown, on behalf of the Key Club and school, by Mr. Gene Staffiere from the March of Dimes. |
