Registrations adding up for Sebasticook Chamber Trade Show, May 5 in Dexter
Friday, April 06, 2012
DEXTER - Reservations for booth space are increasing steadily as the date for this year’s Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Trade Show & Community Fair draws closer.

The event organized by the Chamber, and sponsored by the Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union, will be held at the Ridge View Community School, 175 Fern Road, Dexter, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012.

Among the associate sponsors signing on is the Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union and additional sponsors are welcome. Both credit unions will have booths at this year’s event along with other Chamber members and non-members. Booths booked already include Clearwater Laboratory, Community Health & Counseling, the Eastern Gazette, Howard Insurance, Miller Signs and Graphics, Sebasticook Family Doctors, Sebasticook Valley Health (Hospital), TDS Telecom, Through the Garden Gate, Skowhegan Savings Bank, Cookie Lee Jewelry, Driftwood Dreams, Simply Said & Forever Living, Love of Art stained glass and Aimee Young.

If you see a colleague or a competitor listed in these early registrations, it’s not too late to register to get in on the best, and only, venue of its kind in central Maine. The registration form is available on our website www.ourchamber.org or call the Chamber at 368-4698 to have one emailed to you.

Chamber members and non-members are invited to showcase their business and services for area residents and other businesses. Businesses routinely use this event to introduce a new product line, promote a special sales event or even advertise for new employees. Participants will have an opportunity to display their business’s services or products and get to know other business owners, all in one day. Space is available both inside and outside. Outside displays might include cars, trucks, campers, boats, ATVs, RVs, garden displays or products, to name a few.

Artisans and crafters are welcome and will be featured in the cafeteria, and should plan on supplying their own tables, covering or displays. Local vendors specializing in food products are especially welcome.

The event will feature the annual Kiwanis Bike Safety Rodeo as well as other events still in the planning stages.

The Chamber wants the 2012 Trade Show & Community Fair to be a useful tool for local business, artisans and service providers to have a public forum to share their respective wares. Members and non-members alike are encouraged to share their comments or suggestions for improving this year’s show. The Chamber is always looking for ways to better serve its members and the communities that it represents. To take advantage of the member’s discount pricing, new members can receive an additional discount on membership for signing up in conjunction with a Chamber event.

The general public is invited to save the date for a productive and interesting day getting to know your local businesses and artisans. Admission is $2 for adults and free for children younger than age 12, OR everyone is free with the donation of a non-perishable food or useful product for donation to the Dexter Food Cupboard.

Booth space is limited so interested participants are encouraged to send their registration and payment in today! See you on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
