The Tigers, in fact, host Maine Central Institute in baseball and softball exhibition games at 4:15 p.m. Monday. “This will be one of the first years we will actually be able to play a game in April,” said Athletic Director Paul Shaw. “We are in the shade, and we usually have snow.” The Tigers play their home softball games at Bolduc Field, named after the Joe Bolduc, who coached for so many years at Dexter. Both the softball and baseball fields have rebuilt pitching mounds and homeplate areas. There are a new baseball scoreboard and foot markers on the fence. Coach Peter Murray’s girls tennis team should be strong, Shaw said. The Tigers open their season on April 26, at Foxcroft Academy.
