As part of Dexter Regional High School’s Advisory program, students participated in Community Action Day. On Wednesday, April 13th, the grade 9 students completed various projects that the Town of Dexter and the Dexter Recreational Department provided for them. Grade 9 students spent the morning raking, painting and cleaning up sites as a service to the community. The sophomore class spent the day touring the University of Maine at Orono, and then also did a drive by of Eastern Maine Community College and Husson College. The junior students participated by evaluating the senior class as they presented their “Senior Exhibition”.. The exhibitions are a 10 to 15 minute presentation of a chosen topic, which is designed to show “new learning” in a subject that the student is passionate about. All of the activities were planned in coordination with the advisory program at Dexter Regional High School.
