DEXTER - The Dexter Key Club recently held it's inductions ceremony on May 12th, 2007. There were 84 present at the event including members of the Dexter Kiwanis, Dexter Builders Club, Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis and Key Club, and Greenville Key Club and members of parents of the Dexter Key club. The guest speaker was Dexter's own Tim Wilson, who spoke to the students about the effects of the steps they are taking to make their home, school, community and world a better place. The new officers are as follows: President: Jana Kenney, Vice President: Courtney Lougee, Secretary: Becky Johnson, Treasurer: Allyssa Crane, Sgt. at Arms: Gavin Cote, Historian: Jordan Conway, Bulletin Editor: Thomas Nokes, Senior Representative: Seth Brown, Junior Representative: Joshua Stanhope, Sophomore Representative: Katie Eastman and appointed as Kiwanis liason and Public Relations Officer: Rebecca Fick. The members also presented their mothers with pansies for mother's day. The flowers were purchased by the club. Following the ceremony, 23 Key Clubbers stayed the night in the school and worked on various projects. Each Key Clubber also brought in a $5.00 donation for the Children's Miracle Network. The Key Club is also working on a very special project for a 7 year old boy from Lancaster, Ontario who's name is Shane Bernier. Shane has been diagnosed with acute, lymphoblastic leukemia and is trying to break the world's record for having received the most birthday cards with 350 million.
