DEXTER MEMORIAL DAY PARADE & SERVICES

DEXTER - The Memorial Day Parade and Services on Monday, May 30 in Dexter are the same as previous years. The parade will assemble in the Municipal Parking Lot in back of the Bangor Savings Bank at 10:00 AM. The route of the parade will be:
Ø Exit the parking lot onto Lower Main Street;
Ø Proceed up Main Street to the traffic light;
Ø Turn onto Church Street and march to Dam Street and the Veterans Memorial Park.
Memorial services by the Dexter Posts of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars honoring our deceased veterans will be held at the Memorial Park. The Memorial Day Address will be given by Laila Sholtz-Ames the winner of the VFW oratorical contest.

There will be musical selections by the Dexter Regional High School band following the memorial ceremony. The parade will re-assemble on Dam and Grove Streets and march back to the starting point at the parking lot.

An invitation to participate is extended to the local scout groups, all veterans, active members of the armed forces, and any other organizations. Vehicles are welcome in the parade for those unable to march.
