Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the sponsorship of the Sebasticook Valley Community Band for 2003. Executive Director, Jane Briggs states, “The Community Band is the perfect organization for the Chamber to promote and support as their schedule includes most of the towns that the Chamber serves.” The Chamber plans to produce a program for each concert that will list the music selections, band members and Chamber members who are located in that town. The programs will be placed in public areas and in area businesses prior to the concert. A large sign will also announce the location of the concert. All concerts will begin at 7:00pm unless otherwise noted. Sebasticook Valley Community Band is directed by Peter Polk and includes area musicians of all ages. Key Bank donated the funds for the sponsorship with assistance from Newport's A. V. P. Judith Young. For information about the Chamber call 368-4698.
