Dexter Regional High School Principal, Mr. Stephen Bell has proudly announced that Moriah Day will be the Valedictorian for the class of 2011 and Sarah Wallace will be the Salutatorian. Graduation will be held on Sunday, June 5th at 1 PM. Moriah is the daughter of Wayne Day and Suzanne Philp of Exeter and has been a member of the Dexter Key Club, National Honor Society, Girls State, the math team and has participated in the Jazz Band and musicals as well as being a class officer for all four years. Moriah is also a member of Seeds of Peace and attended an International Peace Camp. She has been a therapeutic riding volunteer at Faith Four Farm, has taught guitar with the Abbott Hill Wanderers, and has taught summer school music. Moriah also received the Phi Beta Kappa Association of Maine award her junior year. Moriah plans to attend Clark University to study Biology. Sarah is the daughter of John and Julie Wallace of Dexter, and has been a member of the Dexter Regional High School Key Club, the Student Council, National Honor Society, Girl's State, has been a four year member in band, jazz band and the math team. Sarah has also attended the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and is a gifted and talented artist. Sarah plans to attend Hofstra University to study in the Liberal Arts program. |
