DEXTER - This week the Dexter Key Club had a carwash behind Toot's, that was a success. It was cut short by two hours because of bad weather. We still did very well on it. There were about 10 Key Clubbers helping out with the carwash and one who was not in Key Club. On Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. four Key Clubbers will be on the road to Portland. Callie Theodore's mother Elaine Hansen will be driving Katie Eastman, Becca Warren, Jake Shurburne, and Callie Theodore, to Portland and from there they will be boarding a bus to Boston. Their first plane leaves at 9:06 a.m. That plane will be landing in Atlanta and set off for Denver at 1:45. The planned time to arrive in Denver, Colorado will be 2:40 p.m. President Megan Crane will meet us shortly after we arrive in Denver. These 5 Key Clubbers and advisor Rick Whitney are very excited for this trip. We will be returning home July 14 and are expected to be in Boston at 10:31 p.m. We will keep you updated on the trip in next week’s Key Club corner! Some of the Key Clubbers along with our advisor got together and had a meeting to discuss upcoming events. "Night at the Museum" (5:30 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 24) is still on and should be a big hit! The Key Clubbers will be explaining the museum, will hold information tables, and be selling 50/50 tickets. The 50/50 drawing will be held at Wild West Weekend, Aug. 2nd and the Key Club will holdsa bake sale at Wild West and an information table! If you are in the neighborhood you can stop by and check it out. |
