MAYO WOMEN'S HEALTH ADDS SECOND OB/GYN

DOVER-FOXCROFT - Nancy Driscoll, M.D., a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, will join Dr. Deborah Surette on Aug. 1 at Mayo Women's Health, located in the medical office building on the Mayo Regional Hospital campus.

The addition of Dr. Driscoll will expand access to a full range of women's health services for residents of the Penquis region. Obstetrics services available through Mayo Women's Health include prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.

Gynecological services include routine preventive care, basic infertility services, evaluation of abnormal PAP smears and bleeding problems, and surgery. Care of menopausal women is a particular interest of Mayo Women's Health, including issues surrounding osteoporosis and incontinence.

Dr. Driscoll is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been in active practice as an OB/GYN since 1991, most of that time in the suburban Chicago, Ill. area. A native of Bristol, Conn., she has lived in Steep Falls, Maine for the past year.

After graduating from Tufts University in Massachusetts with a B.A. degree in biopsychology, Dr. Driscoll earned her medical degree in 1986 from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. She completed her internship at Worcester (Mass.) City Hospital, and a residency in OB/GYN at Pontiac General Hospital in Michigan.
