Free Deer Management Seminar on August 9th

On Wednesday, August 9th, at 6:30 p.m., the Skowhegan Sportsman's Club will host a FREE informational deer management seminar in Skowhegan. Those interested in white-tailed deer biology and management are invited to attend. QDMA's New England/Canada Regional Director Matt Ross will present several topics, including: What is Quality Deer Management and the QDMA; What is a QDMA branch; How will a local QDMA branch improve Maine's deer herds, habitat and hunting experiences?

The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) was formed in 1988. The QDMA is a national non-profit wildlife conservation organization dedicated to promoting sustainable, high-quality, white-tailed deer populations, wildlife habitat and ethical hunting experiences through education, research, and management in partnership with hunters, landowners, natural resources professional and the public. Involvement in the QDMA extends a hunter's role from mere consumer to manager.

Nationally, the QDMA has over 40,000 members and it has become the most respected and influential organization of white-tailed deer hunters and biologists in North America.
