Still Time to Golf 'Fore' Pine Tree Hospice
Thursday, July 28, 2011
PENQUIS - This year area golf courses have come together to host a Triple Crown Golf Tournament for the benefit of Pine Tree Hospice. Those who would like to enjoy a day of golf while supporting a great cause are welcome to join them at Katahdin Country Club in Milo on July 23, and Foxcroft Golf Club on August 13. Both of these tournaments will be shotgun starts – please call the courses (Katahdin-943-8734, Foxcroft-564-8887) to register your team, as 2 flights may be necessary.

A mulligan and a delicious lunch are included for all players. Prizes will be awarded at each tournament and for the overall tournament.

A course record 88 golfers came out on May 23rd in the first of the “Triple Crown Challenge” for Pine Tree Hospice. We are hoping to continue to set course records for numbers of golfers participating.

PTH is thrilled to be able to offer golfers the chance to qualify to play in a Hole in One Shootout sponsored by Solutions Consulting Group at the close of the Triple Crown Tournament.

Kurt Stockley has already qualified in the Dexter event and will be joined by 5 more participants from the Milo and Foxcroft tournaments. These 6 golfers together with the 4 members of team that wins the overall Triple Crown will then put their skills to the test in hopes of each taking home $50,000 on August 13th. Remember there is still time to join the fun and qualify for this great opportunity!

Pine Tree Hospice is a volunteer hospice serving the greater Penquis area. All services are provided free of charge to clients and families who are facing the challenges of end of life illnesses and bereavement.
