Dexter Regional Development Corporation holds "Business Self-Defense Workshop"
Tuesday, August 17, 2004
Have you had problems with shoplifting, vagrancy/loitering, vandalism, bad checks, etc. while doing business in our area?

DRDC is sponsoring a workshop on August 26, 2004, at 7:30 AM in the Dexter Town Council Chambers on Main Street, Dexter, to give area businessmen and employees an opportunity to meet with local Police Chief Art Roy and Penobscot/Piscataquis District Attorney Chris Almy.

Mr. Almy will discuss what businessmen can do to protect their property and apprehend shoplifters. Learn how you can help prosecutors and law enforcement personnel to make successful prosecutions, and get answers to your questions about the laws relating to crimes against retail businesses and the issues that all businessmen should understand regarding such things as the prosecution of juveniles, setting of bail conditions, elements of filing a complaint, and recovering restitution, among others.

Coffee and doughnuts will be provided. Please call Judy Wilbur Craig at 924-3067 or email judy@DexterMaine.com if you have any questions.
