Senator Davis attends "Maine Day Rally" Wednesday, August 20, 2003
State Senator Paul Davis (R-Sangerville) stands on stage in Portland's Monument Square with Senator Chandler Woodcock and former Red Sox Manager, Joe Morgan, during the "Maine Day Rally," Monday, July 28th. Morgan, along with others from the Red Sox front office, visited Maine on Monday, July 28th for a "Maine Day Rally."
Approximately 1500 people attended the rally. Red Sox president and CEO, Larry Lucchino, participated in the event and announced that Sept. 14 will be Maine Day at Fenway Park. The team officials visited Maine to thank the citizens for their loyalty to the Red Sox. Prior to the rally, Senator Davis attended a private reception with Governor Baldacci and officials from the Red Sox and Portland Sea Dogs.
