Meals for ME has new Dining Room in Dexter
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
DEXTER - Eastern Agency on Aging’s nutrition program, Meals for ME, is relocating its meal site from St. Anne’s Parish to the Dexter Town Hall, located at 10 Hall Street Dexter.

The grand opening of this new dining room is planned on Thursday, September 13th from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. There will be assorted refreshments and presentations on what future events will be planned at the site.

The public is encouraged to attend and see what is available for seniors in the area. Meals for ME serves well-balanced noontime meals to seniors age 60 and older in community dining rooms throughout eastern Maine. These dining rooms are a way for seniors to get together and socialize while eating a nutritious meal with their friends and neighbors.

For seniors who are homebound, and have no one to cook for them, home delivery is available.

While there is no charge for this service, a donation of $3 is recommended to help sustain the program. For seniors who wish to have a Meals for ME hot lunch, but do not want to eat in the dining room, take out meals are available for $5 each.

To receive a Meals for ME meal, whether dining room, home delivery or take-out, a reservation must be made. Contact Eastern Agency on Aging at 1-800-432-7812 for a location nearest you. However, no reservation is required for Thursday, September 13th only
