In the name of a past lover of life and beauty, The Amy Vaccino Art Advancement Opportunity was formed. In her 20's, Amy barely envisioned the things to come of her, when cancer took her life.

The aim of the contest is simply to promote or enhance art in the area. The contest is open to all artists and there will be 3 prize winners. The contest winners will come from 3 age groups; adult (20+), ages 13-19, and ages 6-12. One winner in each age group will recieve a cash prize to do with as they choose. Perhaps, buying the much needed supplies.

Adult prize $1,000.00
Teen prize $1,000.00
Ages 6-12 $ 500.00

Art work will be judged by 3 professional artists. Judging based on a scale of 1-5 in each of the 9 principles of art (for adults and teen categories). For ages 6-12, judged on expression and use of color. Most points achieved in all principles combined determines the winner. Contest requirements:

Art must be 2 dimensional, paint or sketch
Contestants must register at Sae Hee Studio
Contestants required to pay registration fee ($10) at time of registration
Art must be submitted prior to May 1, 2005

All net proceeds will go toward finding a cure for cancer through the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia Foundation.
