Dexter Regional High School Seniors were recently awarded "Class of 2004" t-shirts. The shirts were printed in their honor for earning higher scores than the state average in all seven curriculum areas of the MEA's. All students are tested during their Junior year. The MEA's were revised in 1998/1999 to assess Maine's Learning Results which were required by law to be fully implemented by 2002/2003. The Senior class received the following scores: Reading - 545, state average - 539; Writing - 546, state average - 537; Health - 541, state average - 538; Math - 528, state average - 527; Science - 532, state average - 530; Social Studies - 538, state average - 530; Arts - 528, state average - 525. |
