Is back pain getting in the way of your life?
Monday, December 14, 2009
DEXTER - According to The National Institutes of Health, July 2009, back pain is the most common medical problem in the U.S. It affects one-fourth of the adult population at least one day in a 3 month period. Typically people first experience back pain between the ages of 30 to 40 years old, but generally progresses the older one gets. The pain can range from a dull ache to a sudden sharp pain that can be incapacitating. These alarming statistics are just one of the reasons why Carol Lane decided to open Results Physical Therapy in Bangor and Dexter.

“The number of middle-aged adults I have seen on disability because of back pain is staggering. We want to be able to help these people before it's too late – so they can still have hope and a chance to live a normal life”, stated Ms. Lane.

In celebration of our fourth year in business, RESULTS wants to give back to the community by offering free back screenings. This service is being provided as a preventative measure to avoid back pain. “High quality healthcare should focus on prevention,” stated Lane.

In addition, RESULTS will hold a free seminar on Jan 7, 2010, from 5 to 6pm, on preventative techniques and proper exercise to eliminate back pain! It will be held at the Dexter clinic on 51 High Street. For more information and to make an appointment please call Jessie at (207) 992-4042!
