DEXTER - Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis Club recently completed its Annual Fruit Sale. As in years past, the community's support made the 2012 Fruit sale the most successful so far.

Profits from the sale go into the Foundation funds to support Kiwanis charities throughout the area, such as distributing Christmas boxes to homes in need.

The proceeds also support in-school programs such as K-Kids, Builder's Club, Key Club and Terrific Kids, to help students at all ages to learn, to work with others, build self-esteem, and develop leadership skills. The funds also help support the Reading Program, which buys and distributes books to young readers.

The Club/Foundation provides citizenship awards to graduating Seniors, a Bike Rodeo/Safety Day for prevention of pediatric trauma, a swim program for area children, and a myriad of public services.

More information about the club including how to become a member can be found at https://sites.google.com/a/garykiwanis.com/kiwanis-club-of-dexter-sunrise-me/ or by contacting any member of Kiwanis Club of Dexter Sunrise.
