My wife Jennifer and I enjoyed our stay in Dexter a couple of years ago while visiting family. We stayed at the Brewster Inn during our whole stay in Dexter. It was great for me personally to get back East after some 30 years away. While in Dexter, I was able to see some of my childhood friends...and the town still holds much of the charm that I remember. I suppose that many of you still remember Tiny Pizzaria...Mountains of Food restaurant...The 45th Parallel Diner...Saturday night dances with Greg Hartford's band, "King Arthur and the Bondsman" and later known as "The Love Machine" I recall, too, that Greg was a very skilled artist. We are fortunate to have had the kind of memories and experiences that are becoming all too rare these days. I still wonder about the many friends that I was not able to see during my short stay in Dexter. It would be great to get caught up with each of you. Please feel free to contact me anytime at P.O. With your user ID and password, you can just log on with any web browser and upload them from any browser (It's just like using a word processor). Got my picture in the paper once, remember when I used to paint on the front window of The Friendly Spa? (Once I painted the Flying Super Tiger when the team was hot). It was probably the last actual soda shop in Maine! Anyway I joined the Air Force in 1978 and came to Texas. I have passed over the big "hump" at 40, and I have a wonderful wife and 3 great kids. I DO NOT MISS THE SNOW AT ALL !! Anyway, I used to hang with the likes of Steve Cookson, and Allen Tracy (remember Allens' sister? She was a fox!) My most fun lately is to relate to my children how I used to "... trudge through snow three feet deep while walking the railroad tracks 10 miles to school and looking for trains 'cause ya couldnt hear em with a parka hood on!" I used to attend (kicking and screaming being dragged by my feet) the Pentecostal Church, while my brother Larry faithfully attended the Baptist, driving my mother (Carolyn Luce) absolutely nuts! I do remember there were several rather attractive young ladies who attended regularly, and soon I stopped kicking so much. Got pics of the cemetary by the trailer park where we used to live (Wilbur Tremblays Trailer Park), and still have that newspaper clipping of me in front of the spa with my window. I'll be here until Dec 99 when my contract is up. I retired from the Army in 1995 after 24 years of service, I retired at Fort McClellan, Alabama. I normally come back to Dexter for a few weeks each summer to visit my parents and brother. I do not see too many of my classmates during my visits but will make the next class reunion god willing.
