DEXTER - As part of the Dexter Winter Festival, The North Country Riding Club will once again be offering Horse Sled Rides on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Hamilton Stables in Dexter. Last year over 220 people came and enjoyed the rides. Local horseman, Travis Gould Horse Farm is harnessing his team of beautiful Belgium's and offering rides to the public starting at 10 am. Gould is well known in the "pulling circuit" for his Belgium Team of horses as well as taking part in Monson's Snow Roller Days, Dexter's Wild West Weekend and event parades. Bring your blankets, your family and friends for a scenic ride through the wooded fields for only $3 for Adults, Youths $2 and anyone under the age of 5 rides FREE! Hot drinks and goodies will also be offered as part of NCRC fundraising efforts for the 2005 season. We hope you will come and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Wassookeag and a relaxing sled ride with North Country Riding Club, Hamilton Stables and the Travis Gould Sled Rides. Hamilton Stables is located on the Crocket Road (off Route 23), just up from the Radar Runs and Snow Sculptures on Little Lake Wassookeag Beach.
